Playing Field

Elsenham’s Playing Field is owned and operated by the Parish Council. It is dedicated as an open space for the enjoyment of parishioners and others; users must respect it and the surrounding area and cause no damage to trees, the car park, bins, hedges, fences, furniture, the Children’s Play Area or the pitches.

Users of the Playing Field and the Children’s Play Area are requested to:

  • leave their cars in the designated car park
  • take litter home with them (or use the litter bins provided)
  • show consideration for neighbouring residents

Activities NOT Permitted:

  • Car driving/motorcycle riding
  • Dog walking (assistance dogs are permitted)
  • Golf practice of any kind
  • Ground based fires or barbecues
  • Flying of powered model aircraft/drones/sky lanterns
  • Bonfires and/or firework displays
  • Horse riding, shooting or archery
  • ANY that are dangerous, noxious, offensive, illegal or immoral

Children’s Play Area 

  • Please do not enter the playground if you or any member of your household has any symptoms of Covid-19.
  • All users are advised to wash or sanitise their hands before and after using equipment.
  • Small children should be supervised by an adult at all times.
  • No dogs or bicycles are permitted within the Play Area.

Please exercise common sense at all times and be kind to others

The play equipment is inspected for safety on a regular basis.

Elsenham Parish Council and its employees cannot accept responsibility or liability for any claim, loss or damage which may arise as a result of the use of the playground except insofar as is provided by statute.

Please report any accident or equipment damage to the Clerk of the Parish Council and please report any vandalism or disorder to the Police.

  • Small children should be supervised by an adult at all times.
  • No dogs, bicycles, glass or alcohol are permitted within the Play Area.
